Annual Holocaust Memorial Service
Professor Paul Bartrop recently joined the faculty of Florida Gulf Coast University as a Professor of History and Director of the Center for Judaic, Holocaust and Genocide Studies.
He is recognized as one of the world’s leading scholars of the Holocaust and Genocide. Dr. Bartrop teaches a range of subjects including History, Jewish Studies, International Studies, and Comparative Genocide Studies.
Dr. Bartrop’s latest work is entitled An Encyclopedia of Contemporary Genocide Biography: Portraits of Evil and Good (2012). His major current project is Experiencing Genocide: Personal Accounts from Victims, Perpetrators, and Witnesses, and an ongoing project, The Holocaust and Genocide through Movies: Armenia and the Holocaust to Rwanda and Darfur. In addition, he has published numerous books and scholarly articles.
Amongst many affiliations in his field Dr. Bartrop is a past President of the Australian Association of Jewish Studies.
