BETWEEN WORLDS

An attack on the secular son of an Orthodox family sets up a collision between two families and two cultures. The son is visited in the hospital by his mother, Bina, with this tragic event creating the first opportunity for the two to reconnect since the boy “lost his way.”

At the hospital, Bina finds solace talking with a young Arab woman, Amal, seemingly there to tend to her own ailing father. But Amal has a secret, and as it starts to come to light, so begins a profound exploration of the nature of faith, love, and truth, one that leads the women to a new understanding of each other and themselves.
